myDash is a customizable personal dashboard designed to bring Google services, everyday utilities and focused-work tools together in one modular workspace.
It currently operates as a Chrome Manifest V3 new-tab extension. Users can create configurable dashboard pages and arrange movable, resizable widgets for services and tools including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Keep, Google Tasks, Google Contacts, weather, bookmarks, notes, translation, clocks and calculators.
myDash is designed as a local-first product. The dashboard can operate using information stored on the user’s device, with optional synchronization through the user’s own Google Drive account.
myDash is an independent project.
myDash is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC. Google, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Keep and other Google product names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Private assistance is available through the official Support page and the support contact published on this website.
General discussion, feature suggestions, installation questions and product feedback are available through the official myDash Community linked from the Community page.
Users should not publish passwords, authorization tokens, private email content, calendar information or other confidential material in public community discussions.
Questions concerning privacy, personal information, data access or deletion may be submitted through the official Support page or the privacy contact published on this website.
This notice applies to:
the myDash Chrome extension;
the myDash website;
support communications submitted to myDash;
the official myDash community;
optional Google account connections initiated through myDash.
Third-party websites and services linked from myDash operate under their own privacy notices and terms.
Depending on the widgets and features voluntarily enabled by the user, myDash may access or process the following categories of information.
This may include:
dashboard pages;
widget types;
widget positions and dimensions;
widget preferences;
theme and display settings;
refresh settings;
local plan or entitlement settings.
When the user authorizes a Google service, myDash may access the minimum information required to provide the selected feature, including:
the authorized Google account email address;
Gmail messages, threads, labels and message status;
Google Calendar calendars, events and event settings;
Google Drive file metadata and permitted file content;
Google Keep notes where supported and authorized;
Google Tasks lists and tasks;
Google Contacts data;
dashboard synchronization data stored in the Google Drive application-data area.
The information accessed depends on the permissions approved by the user.
A Google service is not accessed unless the relevant authorization has been granted.
Depending on the feature used, myDash may process:
Chrome bookmarks;
extension-local storage;
browser theme and appearance preferences;
selected or approximate location information for weather results;
technical diagnostic information generated during operation.
When a user contacts support or participates in the community, myDash may receive:
a name or account identifier;
an email address;
message content;
screenshots;
browser and operating-system information;
diagnostic information voluntarily supplied by the user.
Users should remove unnecessary personal or confidential information before submitting support material.
Information is processed only to provide, maintain or improve user-facing myDash functions, including:
displaying requested dashboard widgets;
reading or modifying Google data when the user explicitly activates an action;
storing dashboard preferences;
synchronizing the dashboard between devices;
authenticating the selected Google account;
responding to support requests;
investigating technical errors, abuse or security concerns;
maintaining product reliability and security;
complying with applicable legal obligations.
myDash does not use Google user data for unrelated profiling, surveillance or data brokerage.
Google authorization is handled through Google and Chrome OAuth mechanisms.
myDash does not request or store the user’s Google password.
The permissions requested depend on the Google widgets and features selected by the user.
Some widgets may permit actions that modify Google data, including:
archiving or deleting an email;
marking an email as read or unread;
creating, editing or deleting a calendar event;
creating, completing or deleting a task;
creating or modifying a contact or note.
These actions occur only in response to a user command or an explicitly enabled feature.
myDash is designed as a local-first application.
Dashboard state and preferences are primarily stored in extension-specific storage on the user’s device.
When Google Drive synchronization is enabled, dashboard configuration data is stored in the application-data area of the user’s own Google Drive account.
Limited cached information may be stored locally to improve loading speed, reduce unnecessary network requests and support normal widget operation.
The extension does not use a general-purpose myDash server to collect copies of Gmail messages, calendars, contacts, notes or tasks.
This notice will be updated before any future account backend, companion application or remote service begins processing additional categories of user information.
myDash does not sell personal information.
myDash does not transfer Google user data for personalized, retargeted or interest-based advertising.
Information may be transmitted only where necessary to provide a feature selected by the user, including through:
